Stan Brock Is a Total Badass

How HOT is Stan Brock???

"Stan Brock spent 15 years as general manager of the Rupununi Development Company Dadanawa Ranch (Guyana), the world's largest tropical cattle ranch (area 4,000 square miles, 40,000 cattle, 2,000 horses, 1,200 sheep); with extensive range management, beef marketing, and veterinary experience; was fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and Wapishana."

And I KNOW that I don't have to tell you that it was the Wapishana that got me.

I always knew that if I found a dude that could throw down in Wapishana, my life would be starting anew. Sorry, Will.

And if it wasn't that, just the words "Rupununi" and "Dadanawa" blow my garters off.

You might remember Stan from the old television series "Wild Kingdom".

Had I been just a little bit older while watching that hot piece of manz in those shows, I would've wondered what the hell was going on with the "Wild Kingdom" in my pants.

Well, hottie is now 71 years old. And he's a total badass.

He's the founder of this:

Remote Area Medical

Will and I recently saw a segment on him and the organization on 60 Minutes. They were in Knoxville, Tennessee where he now lives doing some much needed relief work right in our own country.

"In a matter of hours, Remote Area Medical set up its massive clinic, for a weekend, in an exhibit hall in Knoxville, Tenn. Tools for dentists were laid out by the yard, optometrists prepared to make hundreds of pairs of glasses, general medical doctors set up for whatever might come though the door. Nearly everything is donated, and everyone is a volunteer. The care is free. But no one could say how many patients might show up.

The first clue came a little before midnight. Stan Brock, the founder of Remote Area Medical, opened the gate outside. The clinic wouldn't open for seven hours, but people in pain didn't want to chance being left out. State guardsmen came in for crowd control.

On Saturday at 6 a.m. they entered by the numbers. Inside, 276 volunteers from 11 states were waiting."

"Today Brock is devoted to RAM - completely devoted. He has no family, takes no salary, and has no home. Brock lives in an abandoned school that the city of Knoxville leases to RAM for $1. Until recently, he took showers in the courtyard with a hose."

Stan? You're sincerely inspirational, astonishing actually, as are all of your volunteers and contributors (it is run solely on individual contributions - as of yet, not ONE corporate sponsor). You're a total badass. And I guess I just wanted to say so.
